"Break Your Fall," a sequel to "Freefall," brought me back together with my old friend Robin Vane. This track was another attempt to marry rock with EDM, aiming to capture the essence of our previous collaboration but with a new twist. Despite our best efforts and the personal significance of continuing the story from "Freefall," this experiment didn't resonate as hoped. It became my lowest-performing song, marking a profound moment of reflection and learning in my career. The journey of creating "Break Your Fall" taught me valuable lessons about experimentation, the unpredictable nature of music, and the importance of resilience in the face of setbacks. This experience, although challenging, has been instrumental in shaping my approach to music and creativity moving forward.
